As Bethan Laura Wood celebrates ten years of collaboration with Nilufar and its founder, Nina Yashar, the designer presents ‘Ornate’, a compilation of furniture inspired by the design of the boudoir, featuring a bed head, lighting, cabinets, desk and mirrors, drawn from various inspirations and with a variety of materials and techniques. The new collection demonstrates the richness of Wood’s eclectic and colourful visual expressions. Pieces in glass, wood veneer and CNC-milled aluminium shows her passion for old and new craft techniques, and her ability to refine cultural references and inspirations from previous aesthetic movements and travelling influences.
